Hyderabad's event season kicks off with record bookings this quarter

Venues across Hyderabad are reporting a sharp rise in corporate and wedding bookings ahead of the festive months, with several popular properties already fully booked through the end of the quarter.

Event planners point to a mix of pent-up demand and a growing number of companies choosing large, in-person gatherings over smaller virtual events. Wedding bookings have followed a similar pattern, with couples locking in dates as much as six months in advance.

"We're seeing bookings roughly 30% higher than the same period last year, especially for mid-to-large properties," said a Hyderabad-based venue manager.

What's driving the demand

Corporate clients are citing renewed travel budgets and a preference for in-person conferences and dealer meets. On the wedding side, planners note bigger decor and catering budgets even where guest counts have stayed modest.

The trend is also visible in Vijayawada, where several new venues have opened along the riverfront to meet growing demand from both event categories.

What this means for organisers

With popular dates filling quickly, planners are advising clients to confirm venues at least two to three months ahead of their preferred date, particularly for the upcoming festive and wedding season.
